A Day with Nature :)

WOW!!
Look at us. Here we are, MANGROVE FOREST

Erhem...actually this was our first time to visit to
Matang Mangrove Forest. It is located in Kuala Sepetang,
 Perak.

We departed from Kampar and it took one and a half hour
to reach here. At the begining we expected there will  charge
us for the entrance fees but surprisingly it is free of charge.

Therefore, this is truely a worth place for us to visit with :D

Once we reached our destination, we met one of the worker. He was friendly and explained the history of Mangrove forest to us so that we get to know more about Mangrove forest.

According to the worker, we knew that Mangrove forest was established since year 1902. We were so excited and took photo non-stop with our newly-bought camera.

The environment of the nature attracted us so much.

This picture was taken while we were walking along the
boardwalk. A lot of
mangrove swamps around us!

There have some signal boards as well to show the
   direction of
the places too so that we manage to know where we wanted
to go.

This is the tallest tree in Mangrove forest. The description of the tree are stated on the board clearly.

On the mud floor we saw crabs or even mud skipper fish
which can breathe air too. There are birds, even monkeys
and  snakes.

Snakes are the main fear of the mangrove tree cutter
who burn the wood collected in charcoal kilns to make
charcoal. =)

See ! A crab get caught in the mangrove hanging at the roadside :D

We do really have fun and explored a lot of new things in

Mangrove forest ! Believe us guys, there is everything to

gain but nothing to lose to pay a visit there !

Woohooo ~

Kellie's Castle, We Are Here!

Do you know Kellie's Castle? Do you heard it before? Do you know where its location is?

Know or may be don't know?

Let's us bring you to this European-style castle which full of mystery!

This castle is located on the small hill on the way to Batu Gajah town at the Kinta Kellie's Rubber Estate which is surrounded by river.

There was a romantic love story behind this castle. William Kellie Smith who was 20 years old travelled to Malaysia to seek for his fortune. In 1915 his son, Anthony was born. Smith decided to build a castle which situated in front of the Kellies House. He believed it will be a gift for his wife and son.

HOWEVER, the construction work was not smooth, a mysterious illness broke out and KILLED many of the workers, and it brought a halt of construction in December year 1926.

Due to Smith superstitious, he was told that a temple must be built to mollify God therefore it is an underground tunnel lying beneath the castle leading to temple.

Inside of the Kellie's Castle

We feel so EXCITED to visit this castle. The castle was surrounded by mystery atmosphere.

The first time when we step in the castle, we feel so scary because of the mystery atmosphere and the myth behind this castle. There has a lot of different GHOST STORY inside this castle!

At the end, we had concluded that this castle is a place that we MUST visit in the Perak!!
